Paris 1900 : City of Entertainment
The exhibition Paris 1900 is an invitation to the public to relive the splendor of the French capital when the Exposition Universelle was heralding the arrival of the twentieth century. More than ever before, the city was seen throughout the world as a sparkling place of luxury and a sophisticated art de vivre. More than 250 works will immerse visitors into the atmosphere of Belle Époque Paris. The technical innovations, the cultural efflorescence, and the sheer elegance of Parisian women, will be staged and displayed, revealing the mythology of the Paris of that era, an image that has been promoted throughout the world in literature and in film.
