Les Traversées du Marais 2018

The fourth edition of this artistic and cultural festival. It takes place in one of the most highly prized historic districts of Paris. From Friday 7 to Sunday, 9 September 2018.

Concerts, dance, exhibitions, theatrical performances — over the space of a weekend, art will reign supreme in the streets of the Marais, in the 4th edition of the “Traversées du Marais”.

Most of the events in this multi-disciplinary festival are free. The festival circuit crosses the Marais from one side to the other – from the Haut-Marais to Marais Sud.

There will be a series of events, workshops and artistic performances organised by culture professionals from the Marais. A chance to discover the rich heritage of this fascinating historic area.

This year, the festival is structured around the theme "Sur le Fil" ("Following the thread"). There is a unifying thread between the places on the circuit, a recurring artistic theme encouraging visitors to explore the Marais, to step off the beaten track and discover another, more unusual, side to our national heritage.

Paris Musées (the City of Paris Museums) are a partner in the Marais Culture + network, and as usual we are joining in the fun. Make sure not to miss the many, totally free, events organised by the Musée Cognacq-Jay, the Carnavalet and the Crypte Archéologique.
